We at the Futura Rewards Program want you to know that we value your security and privacy and have done everything possible to ensure that the information you provide to us and the transactions you perform online are secure.
The Futura Privacy Code & Policy informs you of our policy on privacy, and tells you about the ways we ensure that your privacy and the confidentiality of your information are protected. Futura reserves the right to change this policy at any time without advance notice and encourages you to review such policies regularly. Use of this site is also governed by website terms and conditions which you should review prior to using the site. These terms and conditions also provide you with the opportunity to opt out of certain aspects of the program, should you so desire.

If you wish to opt out of any use of your information or to withdraw your consent, you may do so at any time by following the procedures set out below and we will not use that information for such purposes. However, we must point out that there is some information which is required in order for us to offer our services to you, and therefore opting out or withdrawal of consent may affect the levels of the services offered.
2. Releasing Information
We may provide your information to other persons, but only:
i. where we have your consent;
ii. to our suppliers or agents who assist us in serving you; or where we are required or permitted to do so by law
3. Protecting Information
We will protect your information with technical safeguards and security measures. We will retain your information only for the time it is required for the purposes we explain.
4. Information Access and Accuracy
We will give you access to the information we retain about you, and will make every reasonable effort to keep your information accurate and up to date.

Why We Ask For Your Information
We ask you for personal information for a variety of purposes, including to establish and serve you as a Futura member, marketing, promotional activities, account servicing and billing, research, analysis, development and marketing of new products, service assessment and provision of membership services. We will indicate clearly at the time of collecting information which information is required for us to establish you as a Futura member and which information is optional for you to provide, but which would help us to serve you better. We only collect the information we need and use it only for the purposes explained to you. If we wish in the future to use it for another purpose, we will ask you for your consent at that time. The information that we collect about you is used to help us to provide you with personalized content tailored to your needs. It will also allow us to continually improve the program to meet the changing needs of our membership. Finally, it will allow us, from time to time, to notify you of products or services available from Futura or a Futura Sponsor that might be of particular interest to you.
When We Release Your Information
Under no circumstances do we trade, rent or sell your personal information or any details about you or your household. However, we may provide aggregate statistics about Futura members to a Futura Sponsor to help the Futura Sponsor better tailor its offering to our members. Such information may also be used for research purposes or to develop new and better products and services. We release specific information directly pertaining to you to parties outside of Futura only under the following circumstances:
- With your consent;
- To suppliers or agents for servicing purposes; or
- When required or permitted by law
How We Protect Your Information
Futura is committed to earning and keeping your trust. We understand the need for your personal information to remain secure and private, and we use industry-recognized utilities to protect your personal information, including password encryption technology, firewalls, systems monitoring and monitoring for intrusion attempts. We will protect your information and our systems with technical safeguards and security measures against unauthorized access and use.
We only provide information in response to a legal enquiry or order, after ensuring that the enquiry or order is valid. We disclose only the information that is legally required pursuant to such enquiry or order.
All employees of The Futura Loyalty Group Inc. are familiar with and have agreed in writing to comply with the procedures that must be taken to safeguard customer information. To us, protecting the confidentiality of your information is more than a procedure - it is fundamental to who we are as an organization. Employee access to member information is also restricted to those employees who have a need to know for the purposes of carrying out their duties.
We audit our procedures and security measures regularly to ensure that they are being properly administered and that they remain effective and appropriate.
The length of time we retain information varies depending on the product or service and the nature of the information. This period may extend beyond the end of your relationship with us but only for so long as it is legally necessary for us to have sufficient information to respond to any issue that may arise at a later date. When your information is no longer needed for the purposes explained to you, we will destroy, delete, erase or convert it to an anonymous form.
You should remember that you also play a valuable role in data security. You should never share your Futura password with anyone. If you feel that your password has been compromised, please contact us immediately so that appropriate changes can be made. Futura will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication (including unsolicited correspondence such as letters, phone calls or email messages).
Visiting Our Site
When you go directly to the information portion of our website and move from page to page, read pages or download content onto your computer, we learn which pages are visited, what content is downloaded, and the address of the website that you visited immediately before coming to our websites. However, this information is measured only in aggregate and is not associated with you as an individual.
We use this information to determine how many people visit our websites and which sections of the sites are visited the most frequently. This helps us to know what type of information is most useful to you so that we can improve our websites to make it easier for you to access information. We record the statistical information on the numbers of visitors to our websites, but no information about you in particular will be kept or used.
Using our Website Transaction Services
When you use our website to complete any transactions with Sponsors, we compile a profile for you for that service, which is used in responding to your enquiries about the service. We use your Log-on ID to identify you as a user of the service and the transaction information in the aggregate to assess and improve the service. We use specific transaction information for servicing purposes (e.g., billing). Your transaction information and the informational pages of the website that you have visited are used to determine your interests so that we can tailor our offerings and those of our Sponsors to your particular interests and needs.
There are two common types of cookies, “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”.
Session cookies store information only for the length of time that you are connected to a website - they are not written onto your hard drive. Once you leave the website, the originator of the cookie no longer has the information that was contained on it.
Futura uses session cookies as an additional security feature for its online services. For example, when you login to our website and are authenticated through your login ID and password, a cookie will store the identification number of your browser. Throughout your session, the session cookie acts as a type of digital signature to identify your current session to the Web Server.
The Web Server will monitor the number of your browser to ensure that, at all times during your session, we are dealing with you.
We also use session cookies to track your visits within our site. We use that information to determine the type of information that you are looking for and to improve our site. We use information about the site you visited immediately prior to our site to assess the viability of links to our site that we have created on third party sites.
The information stored in persistent cookies is written onto your hard drive and remains there until the expiry date of the cookie. Futura uses persistent cookies to store non-sensitive information that you have agreed to provide. For example, if you choose the option on our login screen to remember your password, the system will remember and automatically input your password each time you access the website.
Currently, most browsers do not distinguish between session cookies and persistent cookies. For our website to operate, your browser must be set to accept cookies. If you are concerned about having your browser enabled to accept cookies while you are surfing other websites, we recommend that you enable your browser to notify you when it is receiving a cookie. This gives you the ability of accepting or rejecting any cookie presented by the Web Server you are visiting.
Email Comments, Questions or Responses
We use your email address to communicate with you, to acknowledge any comments received from you and/or reply to your questions. We will store your communication and our reply in case we correspond further. We may use your email address from time to time to send you information about products or services from Futura or any of the Futura Sponsors that we believe may be of interest to you. If you don't want us to contact you with product information by email, you may tell us so at any time and your email address will be removed from the mailing list for such information. If you do not consent to such use of the information or to opt out of future usage, please call 1-866-728-3454.
If you have asked us to put you on an email mailing list to provide you with certain information on a regular basis, or if we send you information about our products and services by email, you may ask us to remove you from the list at any time by following the instructions contained in the emails which we send to you. You should remember that email over the Internet is generally unencrypted. We recommend that you use caution when forwarding free-format email messages to us and that you do not include confidential information (such as account numbers, etc.) on those messages as they are not encrypted.
Responding to Games, Contests or Surveys
When you submit your answers to a game or contest or submit your response to a survey question, we learn your answer or any opinions or information that you volunteer.
We will use your submission for the purpose of awarding a prize in a contest. We use your submission to calculate the game or survey results, and we may publish those results in aggregate on our websites and may, with your prior consent, publish information about specific contest winners. We may use your response to improve our website or other products or services to be made available from Futura or any of the Futura Sponsors. Based on your response, we may forward information about our offers of products or services or those of any Futura Sponsor that we believe may be of interest to you.
If you elect to use our referral service for informing a friend about our website, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. Futura will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit our website. Futura stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. The friend will be advised in this email that they may contact Futura at privacy@FuturaRewards.ca to request the removal of this information from our database.
